    • suggesting household size is shrinking, with fewer people living in more units

  • 43% are renters, 53% are cost burdened (inc renters and owners)

    • suggesting housing is unaffordable for over half of residents (meaning they spend more than 2/3 income on housing)

  • Less than 7% of housing stock is subsidized

  • Despite being zoned almost entirely for sf, nearly all new units permitted since 2013 have been mulfi family

    • suggesting special permits/zoning relief has been the go to process for most new residential development
